A team of scientists, led by Dr. Martin Melles from the University of Cologne, has recently examined deep arctic sediments in Russia, drilling some thirty times deeper than had previously been drilled. Their findings might shock anyone but manmade global warming skeptics. Over the earth’s last 2.8 million years, the arctic zone has gone through extreme warming phases, including periods where there was no ice.

No ice. Long before the industrial revolution, long before belching cars and CO2 emitting factory smokestacks, there were periods of time when the arctic was warm and without ice. Once again, the Carbon Belch team thinks it’s safe to light up that grill for an enjoyable weekend with friends and family.
