Disappearing Polar Ice - Really?

As we already know too well, Al Gore and others of his tribe kept assuring us that the polar ice is receding, disappearing, melting. But is it really?
I mean all kinds of odd things have happened. There were clear reports that the polar ice cap is thicker than ever. There were also times when a ship, carrying researchers who wanted to investigate the disappearing ice, got stuck in the ice that was not supposed to be there. Oh well, the ice was/is obviously still there!
Actually, there are clear proves that the ice is larger than it was.
The new data completely contradicts the "disappearing ice" allegations.
Updated NASA satellite data show the polar ice caps remained at approximately their 1979 extent until the middle of the last decade - beginning in 2005, polar ice modestly receded for several years.
Regardless, global warming activists and a compliant news media repeatedly and vociferously claimed the modest polar ice cap retreat was in fact a sign of impending catastrophe. Was it, really? Just remember that Al Gore has predicted the Arctic ice cap could completely disappear by 2014. Evidently, he could not be farther from the truth, as usually.
Even more, in May 2015, the updated NASA data show polar sea ice is approximately 5% above the post-1979 average. I wonder what Al Gore has to say about this...
Do you think the EPA or the Mainstream Media will acknowledge the new information though? We can only hope, but...
