Almost Killed by Earth Hour

Paul Russell, writing for the National Post, describes his near-death experience – choking by candlelight during Earth Hour 2012. Paul states in his column on the subject, “People in 135 countries took part in Saturday night’s “Earth Hour,” a feel-good exercise where participants are required to turn off their lights and all electronic devices before huddling around candles (North Koreans would be flattered by our mimicry). In Toronto, World Wildlife Federation (WWF) organizers proudly note that power usage supposedly fell 6.8%. But I wonder if they are also keeping track of people like me, whose life was possibly endangered by their little event.”

The Carbon Belch team is betting that Paul will be keeping his lights ON during Earth Hour 2013 – Maybe we can even convince him to Carbon Belch!
